graphics error (flashlight, blood, water texture messed up) - Garry's Mod

HI, jondude here. i have some problems with my gmod (dosent everyone?) but what i have is quite a problem indeed. first of all ill give my computer specs- (you will have to tell me if you need more info) Processor= intel Core 2 Duo ram= 1.00 gb graphics card= ati mobility radeon x1400 operating system= windows xp (service pack 3, if it matters) if you need to know what addons i have then please request them, i have many.... ok on to the good stuff.... for about 3-6 months my gmod has been having "not so" serious errors. they are...... my blood textures are bust boxes.... if i could post pictures i would but i cant make an account on photo bucket.. it keeps timing out my flashlight is just a small round thing... i don't know how to describe it without pictures (again no pics yet till later) my water texture is always the same no matter what.. also when i go under its EXTREMELY DIRTY!! i cant see anything i can fix this only by changing one of the video settings each time i start gmod but that also makes my "military models pack" stuff become really messed up with alot of different textures pics are below

Surprisingly, the card does run DX9. Assuming you're on a laptop, it might be over heating. That's my only guess, have you tried cooling it down and trying to run the game on lower graphics?

yes i am runing on a laptop and i dont think its over heating because i have a dual "heavyduty" cooling fan thingy under my laptop and it its always like this immidietly when i start a game and also i have to say that my spawn meny will become clear when i look at certian textures and my crossairs dissapear but when i was taking the pics i was going to upload it did not happen at all

Could you try to take a screenshot of it?

Have you ever changed the dxlevel in launch options?

actualy i just did today and guess what... it fixed it!!! whell id have to say that it just "disabled it" but now everything is fixed so everything is back to normal. im gguessing that that will mess my game up too?? what wont?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

The only thing that can REALY mess up your game is called "Garry Newman"
