When I want to place a camera on the map, rope something to the map, put a laser on the map, advance dupe. something onto the map, my toolgun won't do it! Anything where it must interact with the map in both singleplay and multiplayer just doesn't happen. Someone else must have this problem! Any help here AT ALL?
Search function, there's tons of other threads with this exact same problem out there.
I think 75 or 80 of them have solutions.

Because it what he should have done to begin with. And then bumped the thread to reduce clutter...never mind, Facepunch has the collective intelligence of a peanut.

Actually, I have not been able to find the answer no matter how many posts I check! I STILL NEED HELP!
Okay, what? That guy up there got banned because he told him to try search on the forum...? Well, nevermind.
About that problem, my friend had the same. Not sure how he fixed, but once he called me on multiplayer to check by myself, i told him to try to remove the most recent addons he installed, and try again.
If that keep happening, as last hope, just make a backup of your favourite addons and adv dupes (also save files, if you're singleplayer) and delete the whole garrysmod folder... Because sometimes we install addons that totally rewrite some important lua files of the game, and these glitches happen.
Then reinstall it, put your addons, adv dupes and saves back.
Never heard of him complaining about that again.
Okay, I'll delete some new stuff, then try that method.
I found the problem: it was some random addon, but i deleted so many i can't tell which....
