(Sorry this is my first post on almost any thread ever so sorry if i mess up somehow :P)
I have been playing GMod for a long time now and i want to start a server on my old computer (none of the wishywashy "pro" server renting crap) and I have the Hlds Update tool thingymajig installed and ports forwarded but i was wondering, can it run a 32 man TTT server? Also these are the specs: http://pastebin.com/dVtzfJcA and one more thing is that I have searched around and I cant find a place where you download plugins for it. Also is there any REALLY important plugins I should know about? (believe me I don't know any plugins at all)
you won't be running more then a few players on that hardware and your internet connection would also have a lot to do with it

Sorry what forum? Lua? whats that?
Sorry what forum? Lua? whats that?
There are sub forums in the garrys mod discussion. There is general discussion (what you are in now) help and support (getting errors/crashes) lua (server/addon help) and some more. They are each for different reasons. I know this is completely off topic but later you can get banned for posting in the wrong forum
ouch, 1.1ghz processor, you should really consider upgrading that.

My i5-2500k runs at 1.6GHz when idling and still handles everything fine. Clock speed says nothing about how fast a processor is. Although in his case it's indeed an outdated cpu
Your CPU is the only thing holding you back. Also graphics card in server?

You don't need good graphics card for a server, since it's not doing any graphical.

That's why I mentioned it. Read the OP.

in the case of garrysmod servers though, clock rate will determine how many people you can throw in your server

Ya its just a REALLY old computer I had laying around so i figured instead of getting like 300$ from selling it, make a server in a game I really like
