Anyone know if and where the official Pulsar Effect Roleplay is i would like to purchase a non buggy updated copy for my server [editline]5th November 2012[/editline] what i mean: is there an official trusted retailer that i can get it from or a free one hat i could debug myself

PERP is a private gamemode. You're probably not going to be able to buy/download it anywhere.

Don't even try. Shitty gamemode = Shitty server. Get something worth playing. Besides, I doubt you will be able to fix it up for gmod 13.

PERP was originally a private script that was leaked multiple times, all the servers (except a select few) that you see running the gamemode currently are running stolen or 'leaked' copies. Any leaked copies generally don't work and require some lua knowledge to get into a workable state, and that was before GM13 which pretty much broke the leaked copies. Easy to fix for an experienced Lua coder, but for anyone else I doubt they could get it working properly.

I converted PERP to gmod 13 for one of the servers/communities running a legitimate copy, but most communities are running leaked versions. I incorporated tons of improvements over the original code and fixed a ton of bugs which were present in the original source. Some of the improvements I am considering releasing such as client side vehicle sounds/lighting (advanced emergency lighting system to control each individual light on a vehicle to create advanced flashing patterns) as they can work on any game-mode with vehicles.

there isn't a single perp community that hunts authorized. every last one of them is running a leaked script and no one gives a shit. if you can't find and fix the gamemode yourself you shouldn't be hosting it

They're still in contact with him, but hunts has pretty much left the Garry's Mod community.

Mobius, PD and VG all run legit copies they got from hunts, as far as I'm aware of. Anyway, if you do want to host PERP, having an experienced lua coder on your team is a must.

Do not forget HZ is legit also 100%

The only authorized PERP communities I'm aware of are/were: Voltage Gaming/Phoenix Dawn, Ironic Gaming, Syndicate Gamers, Mobius, *gaming (I think), and I believe Exiled Servers ran an authorized copy as well.
