(HELP!) Face/Finger Poser not working on some models

well... since the beta (and even since GMOD 12) i can't use the Face/Finger poser tools on models like TF2 and L4D... but i can use it in HL2, and Workshop downloaded ragdolls..

is this happening just to me or something?? also... some L4D ragdolls have missing body parts.. for example: the witch.. her shoulder is not there if i get close...

so.. any help with this??
