Everytime I try to start Gmod, it just comes up with HL:2.exe has stopped working.
I have no idea why this is.
Please help.

Ooops, I just noticed that on steam it says its still downlaoding at 50 %, SORRY GUYS!
im no expert but does your computer meet the requirements, if yes then try reinstalling

I am having the same problem, but the file has downloaded completely, I meet the requirements, and I have tried restarting steam, my computer, and the program.
HL2 just stops working, please help
i've also deleted and redownloaded it twice

now i have it, you have to change the startup option to -dxlevel 81
press properties, next to launch on the game page in steam, then launch options, then enter that, exactly as i put it
