Need server help - Garry's Mod

I'm trying to make a HL2/CoD:MW2 crossover series on youtube. First episode [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1ZLN3cq5Ks[/hd] With how well the first episode has gone I decided to get help with filming and such. The only problem is getting into a server together. The problems with picking just a random empty server are 1. It wont have all the addons we need 2. I want it on rp_city8 but that will have DarkRP and crap 3. Not being able to spawn all we want So I decided we should make our own. So we get Hamachi and setup fine. I go to start a server in "create multiplayer" checking the LAN box in options so when I join I'll type into the console "sv_lan 0" or whatever is. When it gets half way through loading (at the "unloading resources" stage) It suddenly stop and kicks me back to the main menu, no message or anything. With a big flail (yes flail) here I decided to go to dedicated servers. I set it all up fine and it appears in the sever list, hurray.But I can't join it "Connection failed after 4 retries" Apparently there's some load of Bullshit fowarding ports which I don't understand at all and costs money. So can someone help me here, I want help filming but there's no way my friend and I can get into the same server, with all the addons and unlimited rights for both of us. Also, on an unrelated note. My toolgun Spams LUA errors down my screen whenever |I pull it out (inb4 "That's what she said") That means I can't move NPCs about and film it because it will look messy. Which is why I have unexplicable jumps in the video ok? If anyone knows the reason for this respond to that aswell. Infact NO EchoLife routers are, so I can't even select one of a similar model. Does anyone know of routers that are like EchoLife? Belkin or something? It is wiremod, update to the latest version, remove it entirely and svn it

On the first attempt it gets to the "Loading resources" stage. When it's almost finsished I get brought back to the main menu. No message or anything. On the second attempt onwards it simply says "Establishing connection to server" then I get brought to the main menu. I have no idea what can be causing this or how it can be sorted, anyone got any ideas?

EDIT Turns out the LUA spam was wiremod after all, I still don't see why but oh well. That problem is solved now but I still have the server problem

Incase anyone thinks I solved the main problem. No, I fixed a secondary, less important problem. The problem is I can't start a listen server. I go on create multiplayer and it starts loading up. I get to "loading resources" stage, it almost finishes loading, then I get brought to the main menu. I don't know how to fix this and no one else seems to have this problem. The map I'm trying to load is RP_city8. It works fine In single player.

Does everyone who uses this server have everything installed ... or do i serup the fast_downloader?
