I mean, it's harder than weld, it has that nail sticking out, would there ever be a time where you use it?
It's a more pretty weld. Actually makes it look like you've thrown something together. and no, it's not harder to use. You just didn't realize that only thin props can be nailed.

I knew that, I just don't see the point if it's only for show, or whatever.
It also seems to be a point constraint, so if you have two at opposite sides of a prop, it should be stronger than one in just one side. Whereas a weld comes from the center of each prop. I'm not too certain about that though.
I think a weld and nail are the same, but I could be wrong. I made a wooden tower out of nails and the same thing except with welds, each with the same forcelimit. When you break it, they are pretty much the same. I have dups of it if you guys wanna try it out.
Aren't nails stronger? They're like the step between a parent and a weld, though I could be totally wrong here.

Yeah you're pretty much wrong.
Mainly because I think if nails were stronger then you could make a better weld tool with them that doesn't only work on thin props.

you can shoot a nail through the edge of a prop

A "nail" is a Weld with an arrow drawn as effect. Nothing else. Nailing something twice does the same as welding something twice: It has no effect.

I'm fairly convinced that the only real use is crucifying NPCs.

I nailed a dresser to a car before. it worked. of course maybe this was just a benificiary glitch...
Nails are great for making fun ghetto contraptions. It's really just one of those alternative methods.
one time back in 2006 I nailed a bunch of saw blades together and the nails didn't really act like welds, but more like strong axises.
Its better for RP, makes it seem more realistic
Good for nailing things like paper to walls, it just looks better than a weld.
Alot of people use it in automated factories.
It seems you don't know the basic idea of nail.

then y dont you tell us?
You should see what I do with the the nail gun, saw blades, thrusters (always needed), and the wheel tool....and maybe a few Breens here and there but it was fun until I somewhow errored my computer enough to crash...
looks more funny when u weld kliener to the wall cus u can see where the pain is :D
