Hey guys new here. having a little trouble getting a bunch of maps i downloaded working. i followed the readmes on all of them and put them in the appropriate spots. If i open counter strike they are there and usable but not in gmod. same with HL2 deathmatch. is there anything im overlooking?
Current Specs(If needed)
Windows Vista 64
EVGA 680i
EVGA 9600 GT
4 gigs mushkin ddr2
core 2 duo e 6750 ocd to 3.2ghz
anyone have any insight? I tried the search feature but didnt come up with anything useful
Are you putting them in the Garry's Mod folder or the HL2DM/CSS folder? The maps need to be in the Garry's Mod maps folder for them to appear correctly.
i put them in the CSS folder. I thought since it shows the ther maps in those folders theyd show up. guess im just too big of a noob
Have you got CS:S?
If not that is SOMETIMES the problem.

Sorry, I didn't read properly, I thought you were saying that when you loaded the map, it didn't show properly, the effect of missing textures.
i got them to work. thanks though i didnt put them in the garrysmod maps folder i had them in their respective games folders
