Basically, I got Evolve on my server, just to handle minges that go around killing everybody, spawn 1000 props in 2 seconds, etc.
So... whether I try to do anything with Evolve, it just says: "You are not allowed to do that". Even if it's just setting health, kicking or EVEN rolling the dice.
Yes, in the users.txt I have set myself as an owner.
The server provider is [url]www.serverffs.com[/url], they don't give absolutely any support with Gmod management or any other game, they say that they only give you the server and you got to do everything else on your own.
I guess I have to do something in the console, but I whether I try a "sv_"-cheat (or many others), it says: "Can't change replicated ConVar sv_cheats from console of client, only server operator can change its value"
I don't know, I have never hosted a server before, my friend just told me that servers from serverffs.com are very reliable and trustworthy. Pardon me if I sound retarded.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to say, I wouldn't have that problem if I knew how to access that console. Because... like, there is a console button in the control panel, okay? But all it really shows, is just the output from what happens in-game. Nothing else.

If you don't know how to access the console ingame, you really shouldn't have a server
settings > keyboard > advanced > tick enable console
press the tilde key '~' ingame
type in
rcon_password 'yourpassword'
if you don't know it it will be in cfg/server.cfg
then type
rcon ev rank 'name' owner
and you have access to everything
I can access the console in-game, I have just thought that there is some kind of console in the control panel. I try what you have just told me and see if it works.

The console ingame is exactly the same as the one in the panel.
Rcon means you are executing code directly into the console basically as administrator. We can't have people making themselves admin now, can we :D
Oh, right. I fail at understanding this stuff, so thanks. So... as far as I see it, you just have to put "rcon" in front of almost every command that requires administration?
Np, but read through the wiki on 'creating a server' and also 'admin', they will improve your understanding of how gmod servers work which will undoubtably help you in the future if you continue to host servers

Well, before I even bothered to make this thread, I sat a whole day on Gmod wiki in those sections, yes, and another one just on my own server experimenting with everything I had.
But I gave up and just asked the holy Facepunch forum.
