i'm sure this has been asked before but how can i find out what is making my chat disappear? i renamed my gmod folder and it makes my chat appear again but i was wondering if there is any easy way to determine which addon is messing it up so i can just remove that and not need to download everything for 3 days.
how would one find the script used to change the chatbox? if i knew what settings are changed in changing the chatbox then i could remove it right?
Custom hud ? It may be the problem
i dont have a custom hud and well idk what coding to look for to figure out what it would be..
The command to disable/enable the chat is "hud_saytext".
Open your console and say "hud_saytext" once, and try to say something and see if it appears in the chat.
