The title says it all.
What happened was that I added a command to the set launch options: -windowed
I ran my garrysmod, and it ran perfectly in a windowed mode. So I exited. Then I added a -w 1200 -h 1000 command. I launched garrysmod, but it failed. It wouldn't launch. So I deleted the -w 1200 -h 1000 command, restarted steam, and launched garrysmod again. The problem was, it wouldn't launch. So I deleted the -windowed command from the set launch option, restarted steam, and launched garrysmod again, only to have the same result. I tried the delete local content option. The only thing it did was delete the desktop icon. Then I tried backing up my addons and clearing the \steam\steamapps\[username]\garrysmod\ folder.
I restarted steam, only to have the same result. I can't even download it again. Any help?
Try renaming/deleting that garrysmod folder.
In doing so it will create a new folder and start fresh.
Tried it. It started fresh out, restarted steam, and it still won't launch.
Any more suggestions?
Edit: I recently tried using the command -autoconfig. It turns out that it launches the loading screen, but then crashes. And I still cannot reinstall garrysmod with the "Delete local content" option.
