Welcome to Future Warfare. Future Warfare is a gamemode based on a popular RTS (Real Time Stratagy) game called "Command and Conquer". It will feature small units just under the size of a wood crate on fairly normal sized maps, the units will be no-collided so that they cannot be blocked by players. We came about this project through playing various gamemodes like tower defence and sassilziation, unfortunatly it didn't quite give us the satisfaction we quite hopped for, with this in mind we set out to create a gamemode that would. As the god like commander you will controll your upgradable units and battle across the land conquering recourse points and destroying futuristic looking bases. What better way to enjoy garrys mod than to watch your armies fly past your feet and destroy your enemys. The gamemode itself will hold 4 players maximum and 2 minimum thus to avoid lag and complication, We are unsure at this time about alliances between players but we are sure that all units will have a form of upgradable content which can be purchased via the lobby. Heres how a game will play out: -You will start with a simple command center and construction vehicle, You will be able to purchase more construction vehicles through the command center. -You will build barracks and vehicle plants of which will output units on order (pressing E on a building will bring up the build menu for that building. -You will select and move your units and attack your enemys . The game mode will be located in servers accesible from the main "Lobby" server. Good luck with this. Although what did you dislike about sass/td? Other than the obvious lack of pewlazorz. And why do you desperately need more coders? You already have a lead...

Logo is from killzone, but who can say it doesn't look cool when i merged it with a future looking background. And i didn't dislike sas or td, I was addicted to both of them, they just never gave me a level of gameplay I wanted. I like sophistication and a variaty of choices and tactics to see how they pan out when put to play. That's what we stride to do with FW.
Nobody is going to donate unless you get a server up, then a lot of people will donate. Just giving you the heads up people won't donate unless they see it's not going to be abondoned
I don't expect donations at this point. But it'd help get things running, but like i say my main concern is the website, once thats up people will be inspired and trying to help. Right now our lobby is 25% done, the gamemode about 10% and the models about 15%, I just think if we have a few more people then it will get done faster, otherwise we are looking at a release date about sometime next year :(.

Well coding wise, what do you need done?
Our main coder is wacking up a bunch of scripts for the units, I posted a thread now to get some more team members to do the buildings scripts and maybe the recource nodes. And yes i'm going to be badly flamed and have my reputation ruined for the first few months I am aware, and we do have content but we arn't releasing it to the community just yet. We want them to flame so we can kick it back in their face. But i've been critisized from my noob days of modeling, It's finaly my time to shine i guess.
So no one in your team can afford to pay a server? And you just slap a picture that isnt even urs, also that has a volation of copywrite i think =/

No, it was from a free image site, i made sure! And technicaly i implimented it within my own work so it's kind of mine i guess.. And It could be my own drawing, how do you know?! And i can afford it, but don't want to until we have a working gamemode up.

Firstly, mine doesn't look like that and secondly thats besides the point, it's just a promotional poster i knocked up in photoshop. You can't say it doesn't look cool the way i edited it.

Yep, I'll add you on steam because your gamemode was a helpful push of insperation to this concept and I think my team will need pointers.
Well This new "Lead Mapper" (Still not happy about me being Demoted) Has Just Started mapping the Lobby, when I have spent the Past few weeks putting my time (Which I could have spent on TD) into making it to your's, and Cube's, Specifications. Thanks Alot, But I'm still gonna finish it, Because I finish what I start, even if it was a Big Waste Of My Time!

I like how you call yourself a "visionary". FYI Visionary means someone who has a clear and apparent understanding of the future, typically through supernatural or god-given claims.

I was optimistic in the beginning of the thread, but you guys seem to have little understanding of what's going on around you, and the team is chopping and changing without warning, I would've offered my services but not now. I wish you all the best, but I'm sceptical that this will survive very long at all.

You also spelled the bolded "develepment" incorrectly and your logo is filled with lulz.
Yeah, I remember Deershark from Sassilization, I didn't know he made a map however, and I'm sceptical as to whether they have a coder with the necessary skills for this, Hats off to you if you can manage it successfully though.
