I'm a huge fan of this mod and I've decided to make a list of ideas/fixes/features that i would like to see implemented. I have tried to keep it as organized as possible,Plz post feed back. --------------------------------------------WANDERING TRADER------------------------- -A Trader that is available to all factions randomly spawns (only one at a time) and wanders around the map that has a set time limit before he disappears.If you talk to the trader when you do not have a mission and his time limit is not over half done then you can get a mission from him if you choose.The mission is randomly selected and is double regular price. (If he disappears before you finish the mission or collect your reward the mission is failed.) -Shooting or damaging the 'Wandering Trader' will make him become a enemy of yours.He cannot be killed and he doesn't forget grudges till after he disappears and re-spawns. (this makes people think twice about shooting people who are trying to trade with him for fear of hitting him on accident,also zombies and loners ignore him.) ---------------------------------------------PORTABLE STASH'S------------------------------------ -Each player per server is allowed to have one portable stash item,this item can be dropped and placed where desired. The stash can be accessed by any player but only the owner can pick it up and move it.The stashes position and contents are stored on the server and when ever a player disconnects the stash is removed and when a player connects the stash and contents are restored in-game. ------------------------------------------------------RADAR------------------------------------------------ -When a player is near the objective have a circle appear around the radar to let the player know the objective is in the vicinity to help avoid confusion with the mission arrow randomly disappearing and the player not knowing if it's glitching or not. -Players of other Factions are displayed on the radar as a yellow dot (caution) instead of red but if the other faction player attacks the player then he is registered as enemy and will be displayed red for the remainder of time the player is connected to the server. -Arrows pointing to information and not missions are a different color than mission arrows. ------------------------------------------------------TRADER---------------------------------------- -Give Trader the option to Heal you or cure your radiation sickness for money so you don't have to go through the whole buying and using process just when you need a quick fix or you are radiated and about to die. (when time is of the essence) -Give the stored items menu a stored money status so you don't have to withdraw cash then put it back in just to see how much you have saved. -Remove completed quest option when quest is not complete and remove cancel quest option when quest is completed (a few times i accidentally canceled my quest when i was trying to collect my reward,really annoying..) -Add Information option to the menu. -Player can read the server start message again in case they missed or forgot something. -Player can Purchase Information: Whereabouts of random stash for 50-100$. -Player can Purchase Information: Which player currently has the most Wealthy inventory on them for 150-200$. -Player can Purchase Information: Direction of Specific player 150-200$. (Someone killed you and stole you loot and you wanna track him down and get revenge and your loot back,this puts a arrow pointing to the specified players location but only for about 5 or 10 seconds,this is so you can figure out the general direction of who your looking for so you can attempt to track him down but not know his exact location.) -Separate Trader Inventory for each faction,so each player has a separate character for every faction and they can't just change teams to get the other weapons,they have to scavenge and loot instead. --------------------------------------------Missions----------------------------------------- -Every 3 times you complete a specific quest have that quest be disabled till you complete a different one then re-enable it. ( Not really necessary but it does contribute to realism and give quest a dynamic feel,i mean how many rouges can there be or how many mutant parts does one trader need? This only applies to the current quest not suggested ones below.) -Every time a quest becomes available a message is sent to the player. -Missions that are not available do not show up on the mission select menu. -If the player has no selected mission then there a small chance a random mission will be offered to the player via radio ( "I heard you're pretty good how about a job?" type deal) and he can except or deny with F1 or F2. (the mission offered is random and the player does not know what it is unless he accepts.) -FIND TRADER: When a new player enters the server (one that isn't in the server database) he starts of with just a knife is automatically giving the 'Find Trader' quest.When the the player reaches the Trader a quick briefing of the game type is displayed and then the player is given the regular auto join item list. (mission is not repeated again,kinda like a tutorial.) -HAZARD RESEARCH: Gather information on possible harmful effects from anomalies,the player is directed to a random anomaly type and has to active it (without dieing of course) so the tornado vortex thing you have to get caught in the suction for 2 seconds,transporter you just have to teliport,the lighting mine thing you have to set off (you pretty much see how this goes.) and depending on witch Mollie is chosen for the mission depends on the cash reward. (Since you have no idea what the anomaly your supposed to find till you find it and the variable cash reward and danger involved in the mission makes it like a gamble.) -ANOMALY CARTOGRAPHY: Player is Given a camera item that acts like the basic camera item in gmod (its in the weapon slot) player must find and take a picture of 2/3rds the anomalies,With a anomaly count-down number by the radar.The player has to be semi close to the anomaly (no pictures across the map) and when the quest is completed the camera is removed from inventory and the availability of the quest is disabled till the next global anomaly change,also if a global anomaly change happens during the mission then it becomes failed.) -RADIOACTIVITY: (stole this from fallout3) get a high dose of radiation then return to trader to have research information collected, that pretty much sums that up.Quest is available only after a radiation storm and disabled when you complete the quest till the next radiation storm then it becomes reactivated. (Traders are greedy and apathetic you still have to pay or buy a item cure you radiation sickness,also if you cure yourself of radiation before you collect the reward the mission is failed.) -FACTION WAR: Every time a player kills another player from a different faction and both sides have more than one player (to keep unfair advantages) there is a tiny percentage that it will trigger a 'Faction War'.When a 'Faction War' is triggered any player that want's to take part has to go to the Trader and select "Enlist in War" and the players quest will then become 'Faction War'.When a player is enlisted in the 'Faction War' every player of the opposite faction that is killed will earn the player a set amount of money.'Faction Wars' last for a set period of time and when the time is up every player participating can return to the Trader and collect is bounty,The results of the winning faction are announced on message. (when a faction war is triggered every player who is enlisted of the opposite team is set to enemy state on the radar then returned to yellow when ended,Also only one 'Faction War' can take place at a time.) -BIG GAME: This quest pay's extra money and spawns a ant-lion guard that the player has to kill. This Mission is only aviable for one person to have at a time to avoid extreme ant-lion guard spawns. -------------------------------------------INVENTORY SYSTEM-
