I know there is other people with a problem with their microphone, but I never heard of this problem before.
I played Garrys Mod for a while with a working microphone, but after a while it started saying a weird noise, so nobody could hear me. I am using the same microphone on Skype and Ventrilo and it works just fine there. I searched the internet for advise and found a "config.cfg" I should use, I tried it out and it worked for 30-60 sec of the game and then my microphone were weird again.

Press x while in game?
Of course I am pressing X ingame, the problem is, that people only hear a scratching sound.
Make sure you settings are set to that micophone some times there's other ones in there and can create problems as such.
My default microphone is the right one and I have tried to configure the settings ingame by turning off and on mic boost and such, but nothing works.
have you tried any other mic's and see if they worked could just be the mic
I agree with Mkiplm, try another mic see if its your mic thats fucked and not Gmod.
And if that doesn't work Reinstall your gmod if all hope fails.
