Can anyone tell me where you place the NPC files? None that I have downloaded work when directly placed in the addons folder or when the materials/models/ect. is pasted into the main Garrys Mod directory.
Be sure to put them in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\ <steamname> \garrysmod\garrysmod.
Instead of C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<steamname>\garrysmod.
Also, the files go to lua\entities if I remember correctly.
Also, if you are using an old NPC, it might be broke, please link to the one you tried.
