Computer Can't Handle It?

Hi, all. I recently installed Garry's mod. It is 100% legally download from STEAM, and fully downloaded. But, it seems as if my computer can't handle it. Whenever I turn it on, this [url]http://img27.imageshack.us/i/omfgc.png/[/url] happens. See the menu? And, whenever I load a map, I walk two feet only for my PC to restart. Help? Thanks,

You should find out what graphics card you have.
But yeah, you need a new computer. Can it even handle TF2/CSS/HL2 at all? You know that Gmod is loads more demanding. So if it can't handle TF2/CSS/HL2 with a reasonable amount of FPS, there's no way you'll be able to play GMod

Yeah 768MB is not enough to run smoothly on low settings, but I'm wondering why its kicking the settings down to DirectX 7.x. Maybe if he had a better GPU; that would alleviate some of the issues, since that would free up some of the RAM. (emphasis on some) Also, what is your CPU model? e.g. core 2 duo, core 2 quad, pentium II, etc.
