My disk space is being raped by spyware or a virus

I know I have a virus or something, cause I'll get pop ups in internet explorer, I use firefox, and I think its making files, every day now I have to delete games and shit cause I have 4mb of disk space I want to kill someone, can somebody point me into the direction of a spyware or virus remover thats free?

Create a log with it and upload the log somewhere where people can help you, either here or on one of the hijackthis forums like ([url=http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/]Bleepingcomputer.com[/url])

This is the best way to get rid of viruses when you know you're infected.
