• [Exploit] Use keypad tool to crash server.

The adv keypad tool can be used to crash any server that allows you access to it. Most darkrp servers have the keypad tool. The concept is simple, tie up all the cpu cycles doing a repeat task over and over. Here is what you do. Go on a server with a key pad. Set the hold time to 0 and the repeat delay to 0.01. After that max out the number of repeats by holding 9 for a while (8 should max it out). For my post and the exploits fix: http://www.douglashuck.com/?p=8
Fixed my workshop version
As much as you just fucked my server over with this, I realize this is a good way to get a message across, and to get exploits fixed. Glad that you took the time to write this post.
As annoying as exploits are this is the best way to get things fixed. Thanks for bringing this to peoples attention.
A great way to kick off the new website!
Is your plan to keep releasing exploits on that website? Like I said, I'd rather know my servers secure, and have people abuse these exploits for a short period of time, but be able to fix them.
Does anybody know the exploit that I keep hearing about with Precision tool crashing servers?
Does anybody know the exploit that I keep hearing about with Precision tool crashing servers?
Yep, you can crash with Precision, Stacker and adv keypad.
Yep, you can crash with Precision, Stacker and adv keypad.
He was asking for the exploit specifically, not for a confirmation/reiteration of the problem that exists.
Does anybody know the exploit that I keep hearing about with Precision tool crashing servers?
Sorry, I can't be of any help. I am unaware of what the exploit is. If I find out, I will post it here, or PM you. Some weird youtube video, I found this. 1. Take Jeep 2. Take Easy Precision 3. Weld the jeep with height offset (-9999999) Guessing the same could be done with other entities, since the values most likely aren't clamped in any way?
People have posted it all over the workshop thread, I'm still trying to figure out why my servers crash, and I assume this has something to do with it. I've updated the Keypad, but crashes are still prevalent.
Fixed my workshop version
I really don't know why people voted this as dumb, that is great to hear.
A great way to kick off the new website!
I had a custom written thing that was similar to a blog but decided to make it a blog and then actually did it when this would be the first post.
Is your plan to keep releasing exploits on that website? I will also make a post on facepunch.
Does anybody know the exploit that I keep hearing about with Precision tool crashing servers?
I will try to find the newest precision tool and check it out. Oh boy, people are releasing toolgun exploits now? Lets hope you don't find out the good ones, I kinda enjoy coloring people's screens.
Oh boy, people are releasing toolgun exploits now? I'm assuming it's an exploit with the material tool, which is why ServerSide server owners should check to see if it's in the list OverrideMaterials, and also make their own blacklist of materials that they don't want.

Instead, a blacklist should be implemented.
Anyone mind sharing which materials are bad then? Kids constantly change the color of people's screens on my server, I had narrowed it down to color/material but wasn't sure which was the culprit.
I'm pretty sure its: materials/screenspace
