Where do i put my server.cfg info/file?

Hi,

Lately my server hasn't been letting anyone on and i can't get the server.cfg to be read by out-game console. Which file do i put it in? I tried the -->orangebox-->garrysmod-->cfg file already. What do you save it as anyways? As Server.cfg? is it a txt file a Bat?

Also, Im finding noone is being able to join my server. It says "Server isn't responding", What must i do to my Belkin (brand) Router to allow people on?

Can you post the contents of the file? Also make sure it's server.cfg, not server.cfg.txt. If you have file extensions hidden in Windows, server.cfg.txt will probably appear as server.cfg even though it's wrong.

In your cfg folder goto autoexec.cfg, edit it and put.

[B]exec server.cfg[/B]

then save it
If this does not work, try putting +exec server.cfg in the start command line. (autoexec works for me, never used command line so im not sure if its a + or - meh)

OK, Problem solved.

Put extentions on and rewrote Server.cfg and it worked
