Ever since I switched to the new Steam beta everytime I try to run gmod it says 'validating steam files' then it goes to 100%. But when i try to load it up again its the same shit. I also tried deleting or renaming the clientregistry.blop but still no dice. I've also tried reverting back to normal steam but then it says 'there is a problem with your local game files'. Will a re-instillation of gmod be any help? Or is there an easier way to fix this crap?
Steam -> Libary (or games) -> Right click on your game -> Property's -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game cache -> Wait -> Try to lauch it again from both beta and non beta
