• Did Steam just get more uptight?

As of today, I can no longer use one steam account to have LAN games of Garry's Mod in offline mode. If this is intentional, what a joke. This was a strong factor in my purchasing of the game, to be able to LAN it with one copy. Now with the ridiculous money-grabbing power Steam has these days, they seem to be able to manipulate their deals and change the content to gear things towards profit. Please tell me I'm wrong, and it's just a bug. Both computers have signed in online and gone into offline mode seperately, but we just get kicked from the game very quickly.
Most likely a bug, but submit a ticket to support.
Technically you pay for one copy of the game. It's you being stingy, not them.
But when they allow that game to be used for multiple LAN games, I hear about it and buy a copy, and they take that away because they changed their minds, that's what's fucked.
its ten bucks man. i agree if its worked like that for so long its frustrating, but thats 1/5th the price of a regular game.
When I found out about this I got annoyed as well. But I managed to fool steam. Can't remember exactly how I did it. But I tried going into offline mode with one computer, or both.. Can't remember.
