so i have been trying to make a dedicated server it runs i can join it but the server.cfg doesnt run it says "exec couldnt run server.cfg" i think thats what is making it so that my friends can join my friends cant join and i cant use noclip. P.S. i have forwarded my ports
Server.cfg must be in the garrysmod\garrysmod\cfg. And make sure it is saved as Server.cfg. When your useing save as use "Server.cfg". If it doesn't work try updating your servers bootstraper.

sorry but this doesnt really realte but i dont feel like making a new thread, I just got my gmod server but it wont run!!! everytime i click srcds it just wont run, no errors or anything it just trys to load then nothing happens. I followed a tut online that made sense, I have the gmod game files, the css game files and the updater tool, it just wont run! please help

o did you get the hlupdatetool cause you have to have that then update it for gmod then go to srcds and set the properties to -game garrysmod
