garrysmod.org Comment System

Just add a simple comment system under each download, not every upload deserves a Facepunch thread and credit whores would begin working on stuff a lot more.

If a comment system was added, there would be the need for many trusted moderators, plus it's a rather large job.

I think it would be a good idea to have the following rules for it:

You must be registered, and logged in user to comment.
You must have atleast 3 uploaded files.
You will get auto-banned for the same reasons as here (N word, flaming, ect.)
If you are currently banned on facepunch, you cannot comment on Garrysmod.org (IP tracking)

If you like/dislike any of these, quote the one(s) you like/dislike and explain why.

Administration on a site should not be a small job, duty is to do as much as possible and keep everyone happy. Not to decide if its a little to much effort for you.

I really doubt this will ever happen again. It didn't work the first time at all. Who knows though. The Garrysmod.com comment system is pretty good right now.

how would uploading things change the comment quality
if anything spammers and whatnot would just upload useless files creating spam

Ya exactly, just some flamers uploading irrevelant trash so they can flame some more.

I like the other rules though.

if, people could use a comment system correctly, it could be an easy way to spot stolen or malicious uploads, and give a more detailed idea of what some things are, as some people really dont give very descriptive descriptions.

but since people that use gmod.org cant handle comments, its understandable they arent there. its a shame that so many people are too immature to use things correctly. it makes it harder for the rest of us.

I miss the Insta-ban from these Forums 2008 was the best year for Facepunch.

I do agree, the comment system would be used alot for spam, but what if there was a Captcha thing that stopped bots and stuff? Or you needed a facepunch account that isn't banned, or more security measures?
