System specs:
4gb of RAM(Only registers 2.5gb)
Intel pentium D dual core 2.66Ghz
Nvidia Geforce 9500GT
Windows XP SP2
Addons: Probably doesn't matter, but PHX, wiremod, PCmod, SB, plus a load of other stuff
Problem: I've had to get a new graphics card, since my old 8500 died. Now that I have this new one, Gmod will only work when my desktop resolution is 1600x900 and beyond. This resolution makes everything on my screen stupidly small.
Before hand I was playing at something like 1280x768 and had Gmod in windowed noborder mode at around 960x600 with widescreen aspect settings on. When I try to launch Gmod at 1600x900 it is also extremely slow in loading, and if I try and launch it below 1600x900 a window of Gmod pops ups up and then disappears.
Help would be appreciated.

You did swap out the driver from the old graphics card, to your new graphics card, right?
