Unless the Folder that it's in has an info.txt in it. Then the whole folder goes into addons.

Thanks to the guys above, you probably haven't learned where to place maps. Here is the location i place them.

D: But when I extract most maps, they don't show up in my maps list.
Well, you have to make sure that you put NO folders in the maps folder. Only put in BSP files.
Im not sure but when you install maps, just put the map into maps folder and, if it comes with other folders such as "lua" or "materials" just pu the whole thin into addons folder.
