Glua.net a long (Since March 08) has been run by only one dedicated server, but with its growing user base of people too lazy or incapable of using svn Clients (Yes 12 year olds, Im talking to you) flock to this one server to download popular addons... now this one server is no longer enough so I want to you request that you nice people of the FP community donate your bandwith to Glua.net so it can expand from the dorm room which it is kept... If you are a charitable and what to donate your bandwith(idealy 1Mbps) person contact either: Me: Amidary878@gmail.com GMP:gmp@glua.net
Why don't you have your system upload them to a Hostgator package and then direct the downloads to there? How much bandwidth is your server using?
Are you asking for a webserver or a gameserver? I can help you with bandwidth, but I'm limited by the (fairly small) disk space in my webserver.
Oh? We dont need much in the way of disk space, just enough put some of the more popular addons on the website such as PHX and wire on more servers
How much bandwidth do you need in total?
We are looking in expanding by alot...no exact figure as of yet
I need an estimate.
Any amount <1Mbps with a server compatible with Rsync should do ^^
Any amount <1Mbps with a server compatible with Rsync should do ^^
How much bandwidth will this use. Apparently it needs more than you can supply.
Until a few months ago, glua was pulling nearly a terabyte per month. MY vps supplier wasnt too pleased. Bandwidth with about 3GB of diskspace is all thats necessary for this mirroring.
Amidaryu, I tried to send you a mail, but it seem like your mail does not exist? Any ways i send one to gmp too
How much bandwidth will this use. Apparently it needs more than you can supply.
What do you mean...more than we can supply? Anyway...my email works and We dont need more storage...we need more bandwith

The small problem is I'm running a Windows webserver, but I'm sure there's rsync for Windows available. Assuming he means 1Mbps 95th %ile, (which actually come to about 300-400GB), he'll need a constant average of 1Mbps available throughout a month.
I can't give that much, 75GB tops. [editline]11:24AM[/editline] Actually, I could look into using our web hosting for it, can I can supply that much.
I can give you up to 1900 GB. But it's a Windows box with PHP/Apache.
We don't need Storage besides around 5GB, we need Bandwith, also Sorry for being Unresponsive; I was skiing on sucky (at least compared to some of the Austria Slopes) American Ski Slopes!
Jesus Christ for the millionth time can we have a number of how much bandwidth you need.
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=17987038&postcount=14 The amount of bandwidth required was already mentioned, obviously you either didn't read the above post or don't know what bandwidth actually means.
Wow...as idiotic as his post might of been you mean son! Lol! So...just to restate it again, Anything ≤1mbps would be awesome! Also, just in case you are running a windows server here is a link for making it compatible for Rsync: http://www.gaztronics.net/rsync.php
From Wikipedia: In computer networking and computer science, digital bandwidth, network bandwidth or just bandwidth is a measure of available or consumed data communication resources expressed in bit/s or multiples of it (kbit/s, Mbit/s etc). Aka this How many gigabytes a month.
As i have read many times, Those who cite wikipedia as a reference, and not ITS references deserves to be crucified at the Academic level!
How many gigabytes a month.
Just answer the question already.
Roughly 324GB's give or take 20GB's I'd say, compwizii.
I'll see what we can do.
I dont know, all I know is that Is not good enough,
Well, with my mirroring system, the amount of bandwidth given/mo/host is flexible. As in I can type in that mirror X can give Y GB/mo and when the mirror has given Y, it gets taken out of the rotation. Assuming I can line up enough mirrors, Each mirror will pull less and less, unless I undertake the idea of having every single GMOD related SVN on there. Not sure if I'll take that one on yet. 1 Mbps sustained comes out to 300 odd GB/mo, but since glua's been prepping for the mirroring service for the past week or so, the above user transfer is inaccurate. Edit: Also, the only requirements for being able to mirror apart from bandwidth are being able to rsync with public key authentication
Hey...I posted what you told me to boss! ^^ I have too much fun with this >.>
Hey there. All the people who have offered bandwidth, can you please PM me if I haven't PM'ed you yet?
I knew that avatar looked familiar. :buddy: I hope all your web hosting stuff turns out fine GMP.
