hello, i dont really know whats happened tbh but my garrysmod has fuked up

and i havent been able to get a screenshot of my menu bug yet but all of this occured when steam updated itself, all i see it lines across my screen when i play, and sometimes when i move my dude i see a rainbow arcoss my screen, not toy sure why but can someone tell me or help me

have u tried reinstalling? how long did this last for? are u new to gmod? ill try 2 help but im no genius :D

i tryed just deleteing local content off steam then reinstalling, but non helped, im new to gmod, shall i wait untill steam updates itself? i had a little trouble about this with counter strike when steam updated itself i couldnt add any server to my favourites and then one day it updated itself and it was fixed...
so does anyone know what to do?

Yep, either that or you computer isn't up to handle GMOD.

Any Intel 945 G IGP chips can't handle Orange box effects, so it's pointless telling him run in a lower DX level.
You need a new videocard, I had the exact same problem
We didn't tell him to run it at a lower DX level, we were asking him if he put it down himself.
This happened to my friend, He spawned a few stuff, and That 2nd picture thing happened. After that I found out he was using a Nvidia GeForce 2 Series card...
err i was playing just fine for 4 weeks then it suddently craps out, so i dont think its a problem with graphics card
Seems you've been putting too much stress on your low-end video card. It's time for a new video card.

An update won't fix a bug on the clientside, I'm going to blame your graphics card.

Happened to me too and just went away.
guys i need some information on this one, what happens if i buy a new graphics card and it dont work still, would i have to contact steam support?
Lol i have the same problem (rainbows, crashing from shooting npc's, big explosions).
