I have a dedicated server that runs on the same computer that I play GMOD on. It's your run-of-the-mill SRCDS server, with HLDSUpdateTool configured for it and batch files and all that good stuff. Once, and only once, the server appeared on the internet server list. After that, it's only on LAN. I gave my friends the IP address to connect to, NOT the 192.***.*.* address.
They got a message: "Unable to connect to server after 4 retries." I have DMZ'ed my computer, and checked that the ports were open with PortChecker, which they were. I even tried to update the firmware on my linksys router. But it still refuses to be internet, even when I set the server.cfg ConVar sv_lan 0.
