when playing gmod my entire screen goes into pink and black checkerboards and it isn't the textures...It even blurs out the chat box the cross-hair every thing!

Maybe its a server with textures that you don't have..
I think you should try reinstalling
I know this is off-topic but sometimes when I get in a chair/seat/whatever,my entire screen looks like a fucked up skybox.Also there is no sound,why does it do this?

Im getting Bluescreen also... Perhaps thats causing the error?

djjkxbox is really on to something there.
Try deleting your local content and redownloading Garry's Mod with Steam.
I did try that too, it doesnt work!
Have you tried doing that with all your source games?
I Uninstalled all the steam games and deleted the game files.I Re-installed gmod and now it works perfectly!!!thanks alot !!!
I think it may be caused by mckays stargate addon pack,Because i just downloaded it and in 10 minutes black&purple thing came back.
