Truck Trial Competition - Garry's Mod

I'm going to host a "competition" of sorts, basically a truck trial. I will be hosting it on my server or if someone wants to donate their super-uber-powerful one (message me) The rules are subject to change, but are not going to be too strict and should follow something like this: I've made some changes, one of them introducing wheel classes [B]4x4[/B] -Must weigh >= 2000kg [B]6x6[/B] -Must weigh >= 3000kg [B]8x8[/B] -Must weigh >= 4000kg -[B][I]ALL [/I][/B]wheel classes must have wheels that weigh less than 150kg -Can use any type of propulsion -E2 engines will be within an acceptable limit, which I will get with someone who makes one them, so no super stupidly powered stuff -Do not bash anyone for anything they use and/or bring, which includes people who use ACF/E2/Thruster Engines. In the end they all do the same job so don't try to start shit, I will not accept it. If you do, you will automatically disqualified and will be banned from my server, or the server we are playing on. [B]Zero[/B] tolerance for this. [I]You've been warned.[/I] -You are encouraged to build bodies, but it is not required. If you do I'd love to see Trial Truck styles. (Tatra 813/815, URAL etc.) If you have any suggestions, comments, or concerns please, by all means, post them here. I will consider all requests and make revisions as I see fit. I'll be hosting two separate events to help get as many people as possible into the event. [U]One on Friday, the 3rd of May, and Saturday, the 4th of May.[/U] As for the actual details of the event, basically we'll be testing towing, hillclimb, and speed/stability through a course. On the towing points will be given for the max amount of weight your truck can tow without giving up. Details for this are still TBA. Hillclimb, essentially the same thing, but judged on the steepness of the grade. For the Speed/Stability course points will be awarded/deducted for, you guessed it, speed and how many times your truck flips or gets stuck. PLEASE if you have ANY ideas or revisions, let me know either here or on steam.

Since it's a competition, what exactly are people competing about? I know you've got rules, but is it a race or something? What are the judging terms?

As for the actual competition it will be a time trial through a course we'll plot out on drivingmap or any other good hilly type of map.

Yay truck building, my favorite thing in Gmod. Here are a few basic simple idea's for you guys. This is basic steering for trucks as well as trucks with trailers. Some are solid and some have Advanced Ballsocket so you can have realistic suspension. It kinda floats there, but when you can use all kind of engines and not only realistic ones I think that doesn't really matter. All are heavy duty (20.000kg to 50.000kg) and can stand still as well as go up with cargo on slopes. Not too steep slopes otherwhise you can't make it stand still but also have enough torque. Well you probably could but I'm not that good with wire lol. The cartransporters can easily carry 10 jeeps in weight so 10.000kg. Everything is perfectly alligned and welded and i've used as less props as possible to make it clear and stable and easy to add stuff to. The suspension is a solid axle setup, which if you look into it the truck I made was a Tatra 813, which has swing axle suspension. Well in GMod, swing axles don't work to great. kinda wobbly and floppy, not to strong. I'll get a video of how it works. :D
