I'm working on a sound mod but I can't find the death sound effect. You know, the heartbeat line sound. I can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows where it is please tell me.
Look in the gcf files.
I already looked through them all. Its not there.
I've sometimes glitched it to where it never ended, looping, high pitched noise forever. So I have a feeling that its a script because I've accidently made it loop by accident. I could be wrong.
Edit: I'm stupid i was thinking of the ringing sound when a nearby explosion is taken, that is a script.
If so well darn. Do you think someone could maybe make an addon or a script to where you can change the sound?

All the metrocop die sounds only work on the metrocops. In player sounds I don't have one that says death.wav. There is one that says heartbeat1.wav but it sounds nothing like the death sound.

The death sound isn't just one sound file. It is a compilation of coding and these files:
hl1\fvox\beep.wav
hl1\fvox\_comma.wav
hl1\fvox\flatline.wav
You can verify this yourself, by going into singleplayer and enabling snd_show in console. It will display the currently running sounds.
The soundlist command will show you the list of already played sound files.
