When i start Gmod some loading comes up and it load on like 1 sec. after that it just says ''All files successfully validated'' then nothing happens... can any1 help me solve this problem?

I have this same problem. Its the first time I have tried to run gmod since the recent update. But I have played gmod a few times before the update just fine.
Bumping this for our sake. I'm suffering from this too and I'd like to get it fixed.
-Restart your computer.
-Reinstall Gmod.
-Reinstall steam.
Try them from top to bottom.
Just go right-click the game on the Steam window, go to Properties, and look for a button that says "Verify integrity of game cache" and click it. It should do it properly, and let it finish. Then start your game. If that does not work, try "Defragment game files". And if that does not work, reinstall GMod. Or restart your computer, do this one first.
