I can't get a gmod dedicated OR listen server online!

I've successfully made a gmod dedicatedserver using srcds, but for some reason it stays on lan and won't go online... I have a linksys router (if that has anything to do with it) and the ports are open. Any idea why it won't go online?

The server WILL stay in the lan tab if it is a dedicated server no matter what. If you can't find it on the server list type the following commands in console: [code]sv_lan 0 heartbeat[/code]

Linksys? I had one of those. The problem was, no matter what, you can't port forward on them.
