I have a 8600m GT graphics card, 1GB Ram, 2.00ghz intel dual core processor, I know it isn't the best, but even running at 640x480 windowed with no AA but all the graphics settings on high, I sometimes only get 10-30 fps. Really annoying, somebody please help.
An 8600m is a pretty bad card, and the 1gb ram and 2ghz processor don't help anything. Turn down the graphics settings, it's all you can do.
EDIT: And you're also probably putting too much stuff in the map at once.

i'd rather turn all my graphics settings on low than lower screen resolution and windowed.
