Unable to run Garry's mod

Every time i launce Garry's mod my friends see that I have started playing but it never really launches. Can anybody help me?

Well, I have been able to run Gmod in the past. The problem just started yesterday. When I start Gmod it appears to my friends that I start playing a game for a few seconds then I stop. Sometimes I see a window pop up quickly then go away. I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalling gmod and reinstalling, and removing my addons.

I am running Windows Vista Home premium 4gb ram. If you need anymore detail please tell me what you need.

Maybe reinstall Gmod? Could be a problem with files. Don't reinstall it yet, someone else might have another idea.

Sorry, I have no idea what else you could do... Maybe an addon you downloaded is causing problems?

Sounds like a proccess error, restart your computer or use the task manager if you know how to.

I have restarted my computer a few times, and also a window pops up for a very very very brief second but it doesn't show up on my taskbar

Edit: hl2 * 32 (or whatever gmod is normally called) shows up in my processes then goes away after a second

Reinstalling windows probably helps... even tough not the easiest option it also boosts your performance (Nope not talking about viagra)

Maybe long loads, I got the long loads but I don't care.
Anyway It could be you addons. Thats what I think.

have u tried opening any other games??????
