• [Addon] Idea for realistic speakers

Hi people, since the "Developer Discussion" thread does not allow me to look for coders etc, Im postin it here. I've never created an addon for gmod, so i dont know when the limits say stop. But hey, its gmod we're talkin about here! Ait, now to my idea. I think you all have heard of EasyEngine,PCMod and such addons. So i was thinking, since i love speakers and sound, Why not create a addon that kinda works like EE/PCmod but with speakers? TL;DR version Lets say you have a car battery, amplifier and speaker. Wire it all up and you got yourself a raveclub in ya car! Ofc i planned this to be much more advanced, but yet simple for the users of the addon. Therefor i need coders, modellers and whatever you need. I am a modeller myself, tho it may be handy with another one. If you think this is possible, or even a good idea, then feel free to reply/PM! Also feel free to come with ideas!

Something like this is simple enough to do with Wiremod entities like Expression2 or Lemongate. If you can't find any coders to do this sort of thing, I'd suggest getting into Wiremod if you're serious about making this work. Wiremod even has some really nice speaker models.
You can easily do this with wiremod sound emitters.

Even with the advanced version i was thinkin of this mod, it may be possible with wiremod*, but as you're sayin you need to know wiremod pretty well. So why not make an addon wich is much easier for people who may not have this much of knowledge of wiremod? For somone that knows wiremod and E2 pretty well, this may not be hard to make at all, but then as i said above... * Since i only have intermediate skills with wiremod, as i said in my first post, i dont know where the limit hits. But as i said in my first post aswell, i plan this mod to be much more advanced. for example: 2 subwoofer on 2 ohm/each,paralell wire them into 1 ohm, wire it to an amp that is NOT compitable with 1 ohm and it blows up. So basically i want this mod to act like it does in IRL.
This could be done with gm_bass capabilities.

Do your speakers happen to be made of dark matter or something?
You can still do it in wire, not much you can't considering you can make any entity using E2. However, not everyone wants to use wire to accomplish 1 thing etc.

Since 1ohm is pretty close to short circuit.
