I'm not using wired wheels for the time being, because I've just been getting started on comprehending wire mod. But is there any hope for the regular wheel tool? It rarely works properly, sometimes no matter how much I turn up the friction, the car still slides and bounces everywhere, sometimes the car just starts flipping over repeatedly, and sometimes the damn wheels just sink right into the ground. It's very frustrating, if anyone can enlighten me on how to handle the horrible instability of the wheels, please do so.
When I build my tanks, I use the make spherical tool on all of my wheels to stop them from sinking into the ground and such. You might want to try that tool.
