After changing settings to anything in video options or even clicking apply the graphics in gmod get really fucked up. I've been having this problem for a few days now and it didn't happen before. I checked my drivers, reinstalled Gmod and everything. This problem doesn't happen on any other steam game. Specs Processor: AMD Athlon 64 bit Dual Core 5600+ 2.90 GHz Ram: 2GB Graphics card: NVIDIA Geforce GT 220 Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit here's some pics look at that nice reflection great sunbeam effects water looks good everything is blurred and distorted like it should be, good surface refraction ok now this is what it looks like if I don't even change any advanced graphics settings and just click apply in video options where did the reflection go and why is the texture flat? what my god it's as if my Direct X went from 11 to 6. oh god what This is really frustrating me because I can't change the settings at all except for brightness. what should I do?
I don't understand your question. Are you saying when you click apply it gets all fucked up?
yes, after changing any settings in the video options my graphics get fucked up, or even clicking apply without changing anything
Gmod doesn't run on DX11. More like your DX9 went down to DX7.
Dunno why that would happen :\ If you're not actually changing anything it should be fine... So once they revert to that shitty quality, you can't change them back to what they should be?
bump now even if I don't click on apply in video options it's fucked up like this and when I click apply this happens
Can't think of it off hand, a friend of mine had this problem awhile ago, though. I don't know what he did to fix it unfortunately.
WOW thats messed up... try getting a new direct X or even just mess around the shader detail and such till you get it fix but my texture and sun beams are always flat....
Maybe your video card is fried or you've gotten a virus :/
1. Re-install Gmod. 2. Re-install your drivers. 3. Check temperatures. Fun-Fact: Your graphics card doesn't even support Direct X 11. Nor does Gmod.
