GMOD will not start

Hi.

I've been googled and searched around this forum, but no help...

So garry's mod will not start if i try to launch it through steam.

for a second it says "preparing to launch Garry's Mod" and that's all.

I tried reinstall steam, reinstall gmod. no use..

So... what should i DO?

specs:
Nvidia geforce gt 525
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
4GB RAM

So will it work if not launched through steam?

no luck.

actually i played zombie survival mod before. Gmod randomly ended and it never started again..
So gmod worked for me, then there was a random crash and never worked again.

In /Steam/SteamApps/common/GarrysMod

in between hl2.exe and steam_appid.txt is there a lot of files called something like SRCDS etc?!?
