I think he means a map where a war is going on.
Day of Defeat has some WW2 themed maps, but they're mostly set in cities.
EDIT: I didn't see you wanted modern day war maps. There's [URL=http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=72231] a remake of a Call of Duty map on garrysmod.org[/URL], if that's the kind of map you'd want.
