Can't play garrys mod after mavericks update on Mac OSX

Hey I recently updated to Mavericks which is the newest version for OSX. I use to be able to play Gmod fine but now it will open the standard blue screen with the loading icon in the corner but then I will get the rainbow wheel spinning thingy and it stays like that until I have to force quit it then I get the error

Couldn't load: \Users\student\Library\Application Support\Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\bin\client.dylib
Reason: dlopen(\Users\student\Library\Application Support\Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\bin\client.dylib, 2): image not found

Switch to the dev branch until a fix is pushed to the main branch.
