WAIT BEFORE READING ON: I have searched for this error and I have fixed it before. I dont have CSS, but im using the models, materials and maps and sounds from it. So lets not get on the warez bandwagon here. It would not matter anyway if I had a legit css, because people with it mounted have the same problem.
But yea, I basically fixed this problem before by copying the game_sound_weapons.txt file into my garrysmod/garrysmod/scripts folder. This was when I just reinstalled gmod and I only have the phx and wiremod and a few other addons. I dont know what I did afterwards to brick the sounds again. I have looked at certain threads around here and basically yea, no dice.
I will try to see if it was an addon that is causing this conflict, but in the meantime...any head's-up?
I think you have to run CS:S on your machine to initialise the files.

Uhh I already did but no use. Addons did not do anything.
