No purple and black or anything, but the menus sometimes are see-through, blood is a wireframe red thing, water has no texture or anything to it and once I go in the water it's a dark brownish green cloud I can't see through. I just re-installed GMod today after having it uninstalled for awhile. I already verified the game cache. I have only one addon, and that's the Holy Hand Grenade swep. i am running in Direct X 8 Mode.

Managed to fix it by either starting Half Life 2 or setting it to DX 81
