Hello! I have had to reinstall Garry's mod a few times but it is a huge pain to try and find all of the addons on Garry's Mod.org and installing them takes a while. So if there could be a pack and put essential addons such as Adv dupe, PHX 3, wiremod, extra npc, cars and sweps just the things to get someone new to Garry's Mod or someone who had to reinstall it, a quick pack they could download and saving them loads of time searching through Garry's Mod.org to find all the addons that they need.
I know for a fact that wiremod will not be part of this.
Also, I suggest getting an svn client such as tortoise svn to download Wire, phx, stargate, pcmod, ulx, ulib, ls3, sbmp ect ect ect.
Wait for Divran.
Having one giant pack would be good for people who have to reinstall frequently, but why not just save your addons as soon as you've got them installed the way you like them?
If a big pack was made, a lot of devs who use SVN will start a small war against the person who made the pack. I think SVN is great for internal use, but for actual releases I don't think it's so great.
SVN - bleeding edge versions of stuff
Releases - stable versions of stuff
Unfortunately most devs seem to just rely on SVN which is a pain. I'd rather have an older *stable* release instead of having to come out of Gmod and update SVNs every single day.

But the SVNs are stable so your point is moot?
Might just be me, but in the past I've downloaded an SVN only to find I "need to update your SVN" because something doesn't work. Imagine having to do that for multiple servers (and multiple SVNs), then putting out a message asking players to update their SVNs so they can play properly.
It's nice having very VERY up to date content, but when everyone's running all different versions (and many of them not knowing that they need to update pretty much every day), it can get confusing.
I expect I'll end up writing some kind of batch script to update SVN content on a nightly basis. Pain in the arse yes, but if that's the way things are going to progress then so be it.
Well not so much wiremod I can see on Garry's mod.org that people are adding wiremod but in a matter of a few days it gets removed. Use Divrans tutorial it worked good! But a pack would be nice right now as I have it uninstalled because I don't want to go in and have to deal with all the downloading.

Thats because I keep reporting them, on behalf of wiremod forums.

Exactly!
My emails seem very.... official.
So ya so I am just thinking about re downloading Garry's Mod here sometime but if someone is or thinking about making a pack it would be nice and thanks everyone :)
Addons such as PHX or Wire update far too much for this pack to be any good.
And everyone differs in which addons they use, so in order to cater for everyone you'd have to include dozens of addons.

I think you have a point. There are some addons that are basically REQUIRED because of their popularity. Things like Kermite's SWEPs, Wiremod, and PHX3 should be included in GMOD. It would be better because most of these have frequent updates anyway, why not include them with the official GMOD updates?
(I hope garry reads this...)
Exactly!
That's because Wiremod releases updates like every day. If you have an out of date version, you're basically screwed if you join a server with an up-to-date version.
