Im currently trying to use props to make something a bit similar to LPB and excitebike, the LBP part is merely the fact that you can edit and make your own bike/vechicle. now, what i want to know, is it possible to in anyway limit a prop to.. well not be made in 2d, but only be able to fall backwards and forwads, not sideways? At first i tried keep upright, didnt work at all ofcourse, then i for some silly reason tried two equally powerful thrusters... (i was tired) Can you help me?
Please someone respond
dont bumb unless the thread is more than 1 day old.

There used to be this one addon that would remove the speed limit, set gravity for all objects, restrict rotation and movement, all that stuff. No idea what it's called. It's main pull was removing the speed limit, so try searching for that (using Google until forum searches are back).
i found something by jinto, but accomplishing what i want seemed hard through that... what would happen if i axis'd a small prop that has keep upright and no physical properties? (hurr durr probably nothing) still though id appreciate more help, could i use the gyroscope somehow?
Here's that physics mod you were referring to Hyper Should satisfy OP's wishes
well, ty i found this aswell, im just awfully "newbie" when it comes to using convars with console to change the physics of objects. But ty anyway, still looking for other suggestions possibly using wire or if anyone can help me how to set the convar for the object to accomplish the 2d physics, as i am also quite dumb when it comes to x, y, and z axises without some sort of illustration of the axises
again, any other tips? physics performance settings are actually allready implemented in gmod, but i dont get it, so any e2 or wire help?
You could also use advanced ball socket.
how would i set the settings? i know it would work, but again i cannot figure the settings out
Again help me please! (has been one day since last bump, will stop soon)
ugh, last bump...
Just take the adv ballsocket tool, uncheck nocollide, check free movement and set X and Z min to -180 and X and Z max to 180. Set Ymin and max to 0, then click prop and then world and it wont rotate anymore on the Y axis.
