What to do with little brother in a GMod LAN game? - Garry's Mod

So, my little brother just got Garry's Mod and we're playing LAN games ever so often now, but it gets a bit boring, and when it does that, he just goes back into Counter-Strike. I can't really build a huge construction with him since he is only 10 years old and isn't really interested in building giant/time demanding contraptions. So anything we could do? So far we've done this: *Building bases out of boxes, and then having them attacked by zombies. *Made car races. *Npc wars. *Building small cities with a lot of fast zombies in it. Also, he's pretty much up to anything that does not involve building something too time demanding (Not because he's under any time limit of play, it's just because he gets bored pretty easliy) Can FP help?

do not convert him to anything I'd recommend getting those Half Life 1 snpcs,they're pretty fun and whatnot.Build box bases in zombiesurvival_b5.Check it out,that's all I can recommend

Get some fun extra SNPC addons or something, and possibly some SWEPs. There's nothing better than shooting up creatures with awesome custom weps! Just get him interested in building. When he sees results, he will be inspired, I can't tell you how proud I was when my seven year old brother said "When I grow up I want to invent things". Which made me all nostalgic and brought me back to my preschool days (no idea how I remember) when the teacher asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I answered: a mechanical engineer. Yes, I was the only one who answered that. Good times. Anyway, you just have to ignite a creative spark in him. I was spending hours building legos from when I was about five until the present.

Lua a swep that shoots boxes and have a box war. Ten year olds are easily amazed. I bet I'll get rated dumb for this.

My server is dedicated to wire, e2, srs building/engineering, and lua development. However, doing those things, one gets stressed and bored and frustrated at times, which is a perfect time to have a DM with a super bouncy radio playing TF2 songs and some gravguns.

Play Dog Fight and crash into each other.

Before he comes on your LAN game, build a combat scenario, like x allies must survive, and you must destroy y amount of key enemy items, give him a challenge. Kids enjoy challenges that or get the parkour mod and go freerunning in gm_bigcity.

step 1) start a single player game step 2) make a admin base with wire and a lot of features step 3) furnish step 4) adv dupe step 6) start a lan server step 7) make you'r brother join step 8) ??? step 9) profit

How about trying to build a rube-Goldberg machine. It is very fun and if you can convince him it is well worth the time.

Get prop damage Get NPC proficiency Make base. NPC spawn platform (Combine with any combine gun) Spam said platforms Defend base against hordes of combine and watch out as the base can be destroyed.

Put him in a minge box.
