Fraps flashes red for a second, refuses to record video

This problem appeared when I've changed the map to appartments at the beginning of HL2. Or to be precise, some time after I've already recorded a couple of clips. The FPS counter flashes red for a split-second whenever I press the recording button.

I've tried everything to fix it: changing map, restarting gmod, uninstalling recently added addons, changing the record key, fiddling with every option the video recording page has. I've even reinstalled the program, and have gotten a newer version of it. It even refuses to record the menu screen. I have 18GB on D:/ which is more than enough, I've tried changing it to C:/ which has 5GB, same thing.

Like I have mentioned before, it worked fine before. I've tested it on other games, and it CAN record there. I really do not want to reinstall Gmod for the third time, since I've got about 10GB worth of custom models.

I don't have a fix for you, but I would like to point out, it SHOULDN'T be the game that messes it up, since FRAPS is an external program, so, to my knowledge, it shouldn't be the game.

I've just discovered that half-size records fine, the problem is only with full-size.
