import spray not working (vtf imports without error, but doesn't show in list)

I have a vtf spray i'd like to import but it isn't working. I have saved both the vmf and vtf but when i go to import it into sprays it seems to accept it without an error but it doesn't show up in the list. Are there any special settings I need in VTFEdit

Are you talking about like a tag spray? If so you have to use .tga form for it to work. At least, that's what I had to do.
