I have tried everything, someone please tell me the proper way to use sv_loadingurl.
sv_loadingurl "www.reallycoolsite.com"
Place this in the server.cfg in your server files simple as that, for example from mine i have a particular post on the forums that i point them too (the MOTD) so mine looks exactly like this:
sv_loadingurl "http://ecgamers.com/showthread.php?2950-TTT-motd"

Thanks, i have that it just doesn't seem to work, o well....
What have you tried so far? spelling mistakes? site down? slow internet = no HTML page? accidentally commenting the server.cfg with this command?
nothing of that i have it exactly as u said in the .cfg it just does not seem to show up. Ive even tried deleting a bunch of files on my computer so it downloads stuff, and still nothing...
it just shows the default gmod loading screen
Perhaps to see if you are doing it wrong i suggest trying to point it towards another site like google or something perhaps the site you are trying to direct to is conflicting with the gmod viewer.
could be an test. the site is so simple i dont see how glanddll.x10.mx << though it could be the free host...
EDIT: Nope tried that, still dosent work

what ever i give up, thanks for your help maybe i will figure it out eventually...
I don't understand how i have coded my own addons, yet i cant get something so simple as this to work...
OK assuming the site is fine (not really a reason why it wouldn't but good to rule out) have you looked at the startup of the server/ any logs you have to see if its unrecognized as a command?
perhaps the download has corrupted.
its all fine, tomorrow i will install Garry's mod on one of the other computer and see if it just that particular computer that cannot see it for whatever reason. Thank you for all your help. It's just one of those things that just dose not seem to want to work today. I should probably reinstall the server anyways it took me 8 tries to get it to update earlier today also. I finally had to restart the entire computer for it to update. Anyways thanks for your help.
